This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
How is everyone? I'm worried about my nephew. He's in the hospital. I've been visiting him. Also worried about Wiseman. Hope she can see her doctor soon.
Honestly, I don't think I've ever drawn a picture from a top view. I should try though (and yes, it most definitely looks hard, haha!). I found some stock on DA this morning that would be useful for that kind of thing, but I'm not sure if I remember where it was. :/ If I find it again I'll link it to you. When it comes to complicated views and angles, I find the best thing is to just keep drawing that angle (from a reference), until you get used to the specific elements of that angle (looking at people IRL can help with this as well, and stock is also great).

Thank you! o.o What a compliment! Hmm. Anatomy and and poses are something that I am continuously working on. I'm really trying to create some variety in what I draw (not just a character standing in the middle of a page without a background, which is what most of my art up until recently has been like, haha). The thing that's helped me most is probably the use of stock- and also just trying to draw things in real life. There's TONS of really excellent stock here on the site. Eventually, from working with stock, the idea is that I get good enough at poses and anatomy, that things I draw without a reference are just as good. If you don't like using stock (I know some people don't), the other advice I would have is just to...let go when drawing. This is something I have to work on still. Basically, just try not to let yourself get frustrated while trying to sketch something. Just think about what you want to draw and sketch it without erasing (usually very loosely- maybe even just as a stick-man, or the shapes of the body). Then try and complete the outline of the body, adding details and erasing when necessary, etc. That's about all I have- sorry if it's not very helpful. I realize that hearing "draw from real life" all the time can get frustrating, but it is true. Also, if you have the patience to look for them, there are some useful tutorials on anatomy and poses online (and on DA). There's also this site: [link] ,which allows you to rotate a 3D model to use as a reference or guide. I have been meaning to use it for a while but haven't yet got round to it. ANYWAY. I hope that was helpful! <33

Wow! That was extremely helpful man!!! This link you gave me rocks. I love trying out different poses but felt kind of awkward drawing them. Which in conclusion made my drawing look awkward. I'll just practice sketching it out first then put the detailing in. Really like long informative comments! Thank you very much!
